To Throw Cold Insurance Leads Away or Not?
As lighting quick as you may be with getting on the phone to call your health insurance leads, there are still some leads that you can’t reach through that avenue. It might be that they requested information about insurance in their offices and only gave you their home contact information. Naturally, if you call that number up, there wouldn’t be anybody home. It would be great if there was, but if it’s not the lead himself or herself, you wouldn’t get anywhere. It’s possible too that your call is going to get to voice mail.
When you reach an obstacle like this with insurance sales, you can’t throw those leads away. Keep them in your contact list, in a particular category like maybe a warm lead or leads that still need to be established. If you’ve tried calling that phone number six or seven times to no avail, you can let your autoresponder do the contacting. In a few weeks, your call might get through and you’ll actually get to speak to the person who requested the quote.
If it’s not panning out in a week, there’s no cause to lose hope and throw that lead away. You can still make the most of it, again using your autoresponder. You can send your insurance leads newsletters and messages about a proposal that you’ve created for them. Keeping the coldest of leads in your database, you have all the time to work on them. You can do it manually and you can do it automatically. Getting your message across, you’ll finally establish contact with a prospect when they’re interested in looking for insurance again.
You can be fast on your fingers with dialing prospect’s phone numbers. The fact is, you can reach leads and you can’t reach leads. If you run into a wall of not reaching your leads, you can still get something out of them if you continue contacting them through email. When they’re ready to buy, you’ll always be ready with a proposal.
